Routine & Special Chemistry

Routine Chemistry

The Routine Clinical Chemistry for blood and other body fluids to detect the health status of patients. We conduct tests Enzymes, Substrates, Electrolytes, Proteins, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Drugs of Abuse etc. Latest international technology coupled with digital bidirectional interface promises accurate, reliable and timely results.

Special Chemistry

The Special Chemistry laboratory performs testing for a variety of endocrine disorders by testing analytes such as:  Testosterone, Cortisol, Insulin, c-peptide, thyroglobulin, Parathyroid Hormone, and Hemoglobin A1c.  The laboratory performs testing necessary for diagnosis and monitoring of a number of inherited genetic disorders such as: haemoglobinopathies like Thalassemia, Cystic Fibrosis, Phenoketonuria, and Methylmalonic Acidemia (MMA). The laboratory also performs testing necessary for the diagnosis and monitoring of Plasma Cell Myeloma like Protein electrophoresis, B2M and different Radiological interventions.

Enzyme tests

Enzyme tests are used to measure enzyme level in body. CPK Iso-enzymes are used to detect the heart conditions. Hence, more numbers of unit in blood indicate heart conditions. Thus increased level may also indicate Ischemic heart disease (IHD). Further the values are higher due to cancer and other causes.

Proteins

Number of Proteins whose values are important in diagnostic procedures which are measured by Routine & Special Chemistry for different bone and muscle disorders. The type of protein which is produced due to intervention of some antigen is antibody. The proteins are a measured through routine chemistry.

Electrolytes

Level of electrolytes in the body controls the body fluids. The level of sodium and chloride control body fluids and thus regulate body functions. Other important electrolytes are Serum Calcium and Magnesium.
